its kinda wild to see it as one color even if it is white.

It's a ghost TARDIS!

It really looks fabulous. I especially like that last picture.

Atomicgraph thats a lovely looking box you have made yourself. I particularly like the white box photos. Mine was primed in white as well. I actually like the white look and think they should all be that colour. It would end the debate over which shade of blue. Or would it?....
Mmmm is it frosted white or pepper white??? No it's its arctic white of course.

thanks chris, i'm very happy with it and the kids are gonna flip out when they see it, they were excited when i hung the doors with all the handels on it. you are 100% right about the debate so i'll go ahead and take the liberty of ending here it is frosted white , with pepper white over sprayed, and then arctic white lightly washed over some of the surface ;D ;D ;D

Upon seeing this picture, my first thought was: That guy is huge!!! Somehow I'd missed/forgotten that this isn't a full size build.

I'm guessing by the panels that its a New Series TARDIS. But for some reason (maybe the lack of windows or signage) I get the feeling of a Newberry build...

its a hybrid, when i scaled it down i had to make it wide enough for our tv and tall enough to fit in our house. i like all the lines of the older boxes so after i started thats what i tried to duplicate. hows my blue?

hello again, i picked up some more of that light diffuser for my windows. when my buddy came over to paint he told me how to cut it so it doesn't crack and fly into pieces a laughed at me when i told him i tried to cut it with a skill saw. use a straight edge and line it up where you need to cut and clamp it down.

then "score" it along the edge of the straight edge. using a tool similar to this

you may need to do it a few times i'm pretty sure you could use a box cutter to but this tool has a nice little angle on the end.

then take a small edge and place it on the under side. press down at one edge to cress the glass. it's pretty easy.

... and i picked up my signs today :)

[image] a guy i know started up a sign shop about a year ago and he did them for me. i got all 4 for $50.00.

this is what they will look like lit

can't wait to put her all together

thank you sir. i think i'm gonna keep with my tradition of inaccuracy and make the door sign white, but i made a blue copy as well. once i get it all together again, i guess i'll make that call.

The blue is awesome :)

Actually I'm kinda used to seeing the Newbury with square panels, cos when I moved here I couldn't find the TV remote for ages and all my videos were stretched into widescreen :)

thank you, it might be better to say inspired by the "newbury" as it is completely inaccurate from the square panels, and only two steps under the sign boxes.

it's not the lens thats painted i put a small board in it to hold up the lamp cap and posts for paint. i still need to wire up the light and then put the lens on.

hello again everybody, the art show was today and my phone booth made it! i worked till 11:00 last night finishing it up (and also i missed the season finially of dr who, i plan on getting the box set when it comes out in november), and this morning was the first time i got to see it all together. everybody loved it. some knew what it was while others saw that it was an old british phone box and not a tardis, i though that was pretty interesting. i think that the kids enjoyed it the most but it brought a smile to almost everybodys face when they saw it.

well it's sad that the journey has almost come to an end, with the exception of setting it up in my bedroom. i'd like to thank my dad who let me use his shop to build this in and my friend jason who painted it for me, and also the people on this board for posting their builds and sharing their ideas. so thanks every one, i'm now a proud owner of a tardis. also i think my booth made it on the news there was a tv crew filming i'll have to tune in tonight and find out.

LOVE IT!!! A fast and very nice build indeed, earning you the title of TARDIS ReBuilder for October, and a large rise in your karma points!! Well done you!

Next time, when you build the full size deal... just please avoid spiders.

well i got her all together and my wife and i decided it would be to large for our entertainment center (even though it's scaled down a bit it's still pretty big to have in our bedroom) but don't worry she's up in my office as a cabinet and it's perfect storage for all my clutter :) i've got one florescent light in my front sign box and it lights the whole inside pretty good. i've been invited to do another art show in december and they want me to bring my tardis!!!
