Nicely done.. elements of the McGann and Eccleston consoles reworked beautifully. Big question is: Does this thing also travel in time? ;)

That's great. I like the way the bars around the console are done and the panels look good.

FANTASTIC!!! :o :o :o I love it. Elegance and style, what more could a Time Lord ask for??? ;D

I particularly like the bit with the cogs, very steampunk. All in all a great design. Love the handles along the edge of the console, always a good idea. Never want a random accident in the vortex to throw you across the room. :) Great work!!!

Here are some screens I designed for the console and other things. I had to make the Gallifrey font from scratch. Took me forever to do lol

You may already have this link, but here is a great site that has "Gallifreyian" desk top, screen saver, and icons for your computer.

http://www.21stcenturydoctorwho.com/

Not sure if you could use them or not, but I know it could be used as a reference to create your own. What you have is excellent, really top marks. Just sending the link in case you or anyone else would like it. ;D

Hey Dori, love the concept, very nice. Are the Screens going to be active or static? I had thought about having a printed sheet of plastic with a design along the same line as yours but have a moving light or flashing lights behind it to give it some movement. Great job, maybe you can help me design mine too, its stalled at the moment.

The moving screens are being added in after filming. The ones on the consoel will be static with some lights that make it seem to flicker and such.

Hey Dori,

I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your production.
Your console sketches and screen designs look great. Your attention to detail is very impressive.
If your new sig image is anything to go by then it's going to be fantastic. Can we see a larger version?
Keep up the good work.

Well these may not be TARDIS blueprints but they are some sketches from the film. I also included some versions of the fonts I made for use in the film. I have had a few people ask for them so I thought I would post them here.

And here are the fonts ^^

Hey Dori,

I like the sketches, very gallifreyan ;D
Thanks for posting the fonts, I was hoping that you would let us share them but I can't get the links to work.
I just get a 'page cannot be displayed' message. :(

The more I see of your work, the more I look forward to seeing the finished film.
Do you have any timescales in mind?

Sorry Dori,

Just my clumsy way of asking do you have a planned completion date for the movie?
It looks to be quite a large and ambitious project.
You obviously have some very clear ideas about the look of the film.

Can't wait to see it.

It will be ambitious project. We will have many sleepless nights for sure lol

Right now it is categorised as Pre-Production. Production commences soon though. ^^

Surely the outer hull covering for Timefish. Hmm, Attack of the TimeFish - there's a movie I'd go see.

Timefish on a plane...
Timefish II: Judgement Day
Timefish III: The search for water
Timefish IV: The Voyage Home (up the timestream of course...)
Timefish V: The Final Insult

Not to mention A timefish called Wander....

:o

Sorry, I'm so sorry.... ;)

Dori, those look very nice.

Console details, yumm!

I've just yesterday started carpentry (cutting out) of the real version of my own 2005-6 based console. Previously existing as a polystyrene mockup.

Hope to hear and see more of your work 'in time'...! (and to show how mine goes)... and may it go well with you (all) for the film project.

Meanwhile, my best wishes for your improving health.
Good on you, Dori!

Graham

Dori, I particularly like the overlapping curved organic-shaped strands bridging the cogs.

Are you doing the design, and someone else undertaking to build it; or would you be wanting to make it too, yourself; or is it to be a virtual console (CGI), or a model ?

Graham

BTW isn't Photobucket brilliant! (newbie glee)... I've managed to get pics up on my 'console build' thread and 'welcome' (intro).

Been away for a bit. So I apologise for the tardiness of my reply.

Oh I am helping out but we have a set builder doing the console room. And yes that is organic strands you see over the cogs. In fact in that section of the console there will be a few organic components as well as fluid flowing through vein like tubes and slight breathing.

Th ecentre column will not only rise and fall but turn as well. It will also have fluid like components.

nothing since 2006, please tell me there is still news for this, or maybe another post that I missed. I love watching fan films and am very interested in the designs here as well.
