I have an interesting question to pose for a script idea I am working on. What famous battle in Doctor Who history would you like to see on film? It can also be ones we have already seen just with todays modern technology.

well I for one have two lines of thought that I wanted to learn more about. 1) What were the events that led up to the first Doctor's exile? How old was he when he left with his grand daughter, what was his life like before that occured? Some back ground on how he became such a wanderer. And 2). I would like more information on the Time War, how did he get pulled back in and fight with his people, what brought him back. Some good human interest and character developement in there I think

Well, without even thinking about it much, the Time War immediately springs to mind.
I will ponder the question a while longer and see if I come up with anything else.

Sorry was half asleep when I wrote that.
Mainly I am wondering what battle or event the Doctor has mentioned in Time Lord or his personal history that fans would love to see on film.
And second, what battle or major event would fans like to see redone with modern film technology and techniques.

I've a soft spot for Sontarans - the proper old wide-grinning-mouth ones. I don't think that my imagination extends to comprehending what form their battle with the Rutans could possibly have taken, but it would have been something pretty spectacular I should think.

I think the Jagrafess (mobile? somehow?) vs. the Ice Warriors/Yeti. Their both from very cold environments, which would suit them down to the ground! You could also have the TARDIS snowed in or something. Something which Crispin and I both enjoy is temporal distortion, so that would be good...

Oh yess! The Rutans v Sontarans!
Anyone else read the (Virgin New Adventures) novel "Lords of the Storm" (Fifth Doctor, Turlough, Sontarans), or seen "Shakedown" (spinoff video, no Doctor but with Carole-Ann Ford and Sophie Aldred and Jan Chapell - Cally from Blake's Seven - starring)?
My online friend John Darnacan has written well I think re Susan and the Doctor's past... his stories 'The Phoenix Destinies' and 'Days Even Darker' (http://tardistype40.proboards59.com/index.cgi?board=encore)
Ice Warriors I always loved. Maybe with a more in-depth look at their society/history?
I would like to see the Sensorites brought back. Revisiting their events with Susan. I think there's potential there.

I would like to see the events leading up to the Arthurian legend referenced during Sylvester's tenure as the Doctor...when he said that one of his future regenerations built the tomb(and defences) for King Arthur,as well as being referenced to as Merlin...
