If I began to use my feeble grasp of english to adequately describe how totally AWESOME that was, this post would be the length of a phone book. Suffice to say Timegirl, when they come to make the anniversary multi-doctor tale in 2013, I hope they give you a call!!!

Good (Time) Lord!!

That's absolutely astonishing! I completely LOVE your trailer. It's absolutely wonderful.
And it's got you 500,000 karma points for the single best thing i've seen in a very very long time... and if you don't mind I'd like to mention it on this week's Doctor's Diary!

Ooh, just had a look at this animation. It's very fluid, isn't it and I think the roaming camera is a great touch. Is this a pure animation or have you motion captured the body movements and animated the face? I ask this because some time ago we were talking about the motion capture that your other half was dabbling in.

Anyway, fantastic piece of work!

I was reading this and he is right. I have seen the invasion animation and your work puts that completely to shame!

If the powers to be were ever going to fill the gaps and use some good animation then Timegirl, you should have that task.

I cannot wait to see more!

Thanks for the kind words Gemini – I’d love to do a whole episode.
I’m glad you liked it too Purple! and no, not motion captured but I shot video for reference.

I have to say that it would be amazing to see an episode reconstructed like that, and I'd certainly pay to see it.

The Beeb are missing a trick here, that's for sure. Given there's a fan work force out there that would work on this stuff for the love of it, and the talent is of this standard...

How did I miss this thread before now?

Timegirl - your animations are beautiful! Simply stunning, in fact my mind is hurting thinking about how lovely they are. I love them all but the Web of Fear one really is terrific, you've really caught something there its almost spooky.

I'm constantly awed and surprised by the talent on this site - wow.

Incidentally, hows your planetscope, or whatever it is, coming along? That sounded like such a nice project.

Thank you so much meantimebob!
I do hope to complete my Time-and-Space clock in 2009. I've just moved to a new house with a workshop in the garden! yippee! so I'll soon be setting up my lathe and unpacking my tools but I need to do a few repairs to my TARDIS first and to put it back together (it's sort of flat-pack at the moment).

And thank you Rox! you've all been so kind :)

I know...still another six weeks to Christmas but I finished my Christmas animation early this year! (note to self: I must get out more in 2010)

I went a bit off topic this year, forgive me :)

If you don't know 2001: A Space Odyssey or The Wheel in Space - it will seem completely mad ;D

Hope you like it :)

Thank you Kiwidoc!!

I had such a TARDIS quandary with this animation. The TARDIS from Wheel in Space (as you know) has the phone panel on the wrong side. But, at the start of Wheel in Space the TARDIS floating on the water is the same as the previous story, Fury from the Deep, this TARDIS is the scale model and it has the phone panel on the correct side and a St John badge!
I ended up doing two versions of the TARDIS before deciding to go with the look of the model….I’m still not completely sure of my choice but it is certainly more recognisable and I do so love a St. John badge on a TARDIS :)

Chris R – Thank you Chris, you are always so nice about my animations, much appreciated!
It may seem a bit impolite to mention presents ;) but you promised me David Tennant for Christmas two years ago, it might just be the post but he hasn’t arrived yet…any chance for this year?

lorisarvendu – Thank you so much, Magic Darts LOL, I love the description of a double homage, thank you :)

Scott ‘Something Wonderful’ love it ;D -glad you recognised Matt Smith (phew!) there is always a danger in making likenesses.
It’s difficult to say how long it took. I’ve been building the Characters for Wheel in Space for about 18 months in my spare time and I had made Doctors 1,2 and 10. This actual animation needed the sets from 2001 built, Matt Smith, the animation and rendering, that I achieved quite quickly, 15 days. That’s 15 full days, early mornings and late nights then getting up at 3am to see how the renders are going.

And a belated Thank you to Dematerialiser for reviewing my animation and helping me with the titles before I posted it - thanks Chris!

I very much enjoyed that! Favourite moment: the servo-robot walking around the zero-G wall, pan-am hostess style.
My own movie-making has been on hold this year, so I'm especially glad you've been able to pull out the stops and create something wonderful!
I think I'm going to have to go watch it again now...
Thanks, TG!

Honestly, that is just too awesome for words. You should DEFINATELY be working for 2/entertain or someone, re-animating missing eps. How unbelievably incredible would an old episode look re-animated in that style by Time Girl? Words fail me. I bow before you in deference to your sheer amazingness.
