Thanks for any help in advance.

Well, the Barnet Box big handle was 6 1/2" long, so the little one was probably about 5 1/2 " long. (However I realise that you were asking about the Tardis so I haven't answered the question at all!)

- and a bit of googling finds handles of just these sizes, described as 162mm and 134mm sash window handles. Not identical to the originals admittedly.

I've spent the morning surfing the net looking for door handles for my full sized TARDIS prop and have had no luck.
I've searched under 'Liberty', 'Brass Door Pulls' 'Dual Hole Pull' and 'Footed Brass Door Pull' and dozens of combinations of the above.
No go.
Anyone know where I can get dual hole, footed brass door pulls for my TARDIS?
At this point, I don't care if they're made by Liberty, just so long as they're brass and look good.

Hi Tara I’m sure there must be somewhere in the US that has them because as I said to you, the handles I sent to Sorvan appeared to have be made in the US – LOL
Keep looking (I will too) but if you can’t find them, let me know and I’ll get you a set Cheers TG

Hey Jon and TimeGirl!
Thanks again, the pair of you.
If no-one has a source on this side of the pond, I'll have to go UK.
There's something about having British parts on a TARDIS that sounds right.

Tom is right! By the way Tom, I really love that pic of your TARDIS especially the angle and the sepia.
National Hardware is a supplier to many hardware and DYI stores in the US and Canada. They make door pulls/handles, screen door closers, hinges etc.
Tara, you could try to do a search on "National brand" door pulls and see what turns up. I would also check at your local True Value Hardware. I used to manage one for about 10+ years, we used to sell screen door pulls, but any Lowes or Home Depot equivalent should have them. Let me know what turned up! I sent you an email with a bunch of links to help you along with your build.
Cheers, Jon

Jon, as always, you are a treasure.
I'll try the local True Value tomorrow.
I've got a bit of a cold, so I'll probably have to put off the drive to Lowes and Home Depot until the weekend (the closest ones are half an hour away-- that's Texas).

I was in Wickes yesterday and spotted these two nice handles, so I bought a pair in case I decide to change the ones I'm using. They both have two inline screws at each end and are 6" and 7" or 150mm and 178mm. I bought black, but I think they have them both in silver.

I painted the handles blue, but originally they were a chrome colour ... does anybody know the correct handle colour? Are they supposed to be brass, silver, painted blue, or painted blue/worn off?

I found two excellent versions of TARDIS handles during my UK visit. The first I got from B&Q, they are brass, and are made by Liberty. The product code is P59038Q-PL-C. They only had the one size though. The others I bought from the Door Store for about three pounds fifty each, and they came in door and "pull to open" panel size. They're chrome coloured and came loose, so no poduct code. I'm currently in the process of changing my door handles, trying to match paint, blackwash, etc.

We must not have Wickes in the US anymore. I definitely remember a Wickes commercial with Father Guido Sarduchi from when I was little. Home Depot had some handles that might work, but they were in the "hobby" section and they only came in one size. The Lowes site came up with nothing, and a search of a local large hardware store called Jerry's also gave me nothing. I can't find anything with the True Value website, but I know there are a couple around town.

Tom, are your handles the same size... or are they different? They look to be identical handles in the same size. Should the handles be 2 different sizes ? What is the standard rule of thumb on that ?

Tom doesn't appear to have logged on here in about 11 months, so I don't know if he'll respond but I'll agree that they look to be identical handles. The handles on the police boxes are different sizes and many people go this way but ultimately it's up to what you like and what you can find.
Where I live, nice handles that screw on from the front don't seem to be available. What is available isn't available in multiple sizes.
