 Halfsize NST plans
« Thread Started on Sept 3, 2008, 3:50pm »

As I haven't planned a build up to now, I'll admit that I haven't payed alot of attention to the policy of TARDIS plans and how to go about acquiring them. I'm wanting to build my son a halfsize new series box. Would any of you NST builders care to hook me up with or point me in the right direction for said plans? :)

Look for a thread called "Need 2005 TARDIS Dimensions" started by xena. In there are PDF drawings I made that you can scale down to make your build. It is on a 1/12 scale.

Yeah, I saw that shortly after I posted :P

Is there anything documenting things like the signboxes and the depth of the doors? Maybe like an overhead with the roof off? Thanks!

Just to make sure I printed the PDF out in the 1:12 scale, I measured the doors at 7" from the bottom of the signbox to the top of the base. Is this correct?

That's about right. The doors are about 7ft tall. Keep in mind there's a little bit more height behind the step underneath the sign.

The 7ft doors were measured on a printout with no page margins. With page margins, it came out to about 6 13/16". I wanna say I read somewhere that the doors/walls were 6'10"...but in all honesty I should scale it to his height :P
I'm still not familiar with the inner workings of the box though. Any help there would be greatly appreciated :)

Now that I'm home, I looked at my layouts, and I have the door height at 83 1/4". This includes an inch that goes behind the door stop under the sign. So the visible door height would be 82 1/4".
