Anyone with a copy of the two movies who also have a pair of eyes will be able to draw their own conclusions.

If anyone feels the need to comment on this, let's keep it civil please. Recently I've been dragged into a similar argument and slagged off, despite the fact I had nothing to do with it in the first place. I could say more, but won't.

Cheers all.

Purp, I know exactly what you're refering to and I'm sure knowbody wants to go down that road. A horrible case of mistaken identity!!

As you said people can draw their own conclusions from the evidence.

Enough said from me on this one. :-X

I'm no expert, but, um, I'm disinclined to believe it's entirely accurate - and that's putting it mildly.

"My pilot's license? That's out back in the Cessna. Or perhaps you're referring to my license to kill. Revoked. Trouble at the Kazakhstan border. I could give you the details but then I'd have to kill you, which I can't do because my license to kill has been revoked."

I supose the most obvious difference is that the movie Tardis door opened outwards.
This opens inwards...

...after being painstakingly superglued back together from the matchwood it was in after meeting it's end in an episode of "The New Avengers"?

I guess there's a very slight chance that there's a tiny possibility that it's theoretically feasable that this may not be the Cushing box, but as TARDISes go, it certainly doesn't look like a bad one.

Can we assume the TARDIS in the pic is actually the one referred to in the article? It doesn't really make this clear...

I got to know Alex when she opened her first Who Shop in Wapping (mid 80's?), and that was when I saw her TARDIS in the flesh. She told me then that it was the Cushing movie prop, but had been in a terrible state when she got it. During the repair she decided to rehang the doors and make then open inwards.

It's been repaired and repainted numerous times since then, but remains in a perilous state. It's still on display in the shop (now in East Ham), but plastered with "Do Not Touch!" signs! It's worth a visit.

As to its authenticity, my Jury's still out. ???

"Even the first Tardis fell apart in the Seventies. It had begun life on the set of TV's Dixon Of Dock Green."

Someone needs to be shot for this quote.
The TARDIS prop was built for the show, not inherited from Dixon of Dock Green, anyone worth their salt knows that!
