Hi KB! It looks in the above pic that your St Johns sign may be a bit faded? Is that the case or a photographic illusion? I couldn't find anything in your build thread about what that part's actually made from ... I recently had a sign company make me one out of colourbond from the PM you sent me some time ago, and because I'm so indecicive, it's fixed to the door by magnets rather than being screwed on so i can chop and change. Is your St Johns sign metal as well or something else? Cheers mate! ian

Hi Ian Just noticed this post. My St.J's plaque is plastic card 3mm thick, painted with white exterior matt emulsion. The design is a water slide decal sealed with acrylic varnish. It is held in position with two brass round headed screws through the animal icons. I believe a new decal is coming from a long way away Seriously though, thanks again son, I'll let you know when it arrives. KB
That photo makes me SOOOOO jealous!! This past week has been the second hottest on record for Australia. On one day it peaked at over 45 degrees, which is about 113 in your language. That's pretty much unbearable. Trains are being cancelled left, right, and centre because rails are buckling in the heat. Hottest day since the mid 1800s I believe. Oh, to be rugged up in Ol' Blighty again!!!!

I have another australian mate, he tells me his fingers stick to the keyboard...
I gather its a bit like the lakes here in summer. They just don't cool down, and that goes for your houses, only more so... You'd think that aircon would be cheaper with the ammount of people who need it!
Actually Marc, Mrs Pod told me she heard the govt was going to charge aircon users a premium of $75 per day during this historic heatwave just to make a bit of revenue. Don't ya just love the government?

Hi all SNOW UPDATE
Guys, guys, have a heart, we're freezing here lol ;D $75 premium to use aircon? Sounds like the British government to me, or the American, or...well you know what I mean. Anyway, the freeze continues. Old jokes are the best? so here goes. What did the dance Teacher say, when she looked out of the window?
"Snow, snow, thick, thick, snow" As someone once said "I'll get me coat" Well it is snowing outside
Edit; Added a couple of night time pics (Not easy)
