Thanks David & Timegirl for your comments! And don't forget you are as young as you feel.... I feel like a 52 year old trapped in the mind of a 12 year old!!!

Potential problem with the roof! The roof is now five years since replacement. (Previously 6mm ply now 12mm exterior-grade ply) Looking closely at the edge it does look as if it is de-laminating a bit. It’s had undercoat (x2) and blue paint originally, then a blue repaint a year ago. Should I have sealed the edges? (I didn’t) - can I do it now or am I just sealing in the damp? I’m a bit unsure what to do

Hi TG.
Difficult to tell from the photo but I think it's rescue-able.
I'd wait for a nice, warm stretch to dry any damp out as much as possible, then I'd cover the whole roof with rubber or bitumen paint, extending it down the sides, then give it the blue overcoat.
This stuff is designed for outdoor roofs, so it should keep everything dry & extend it's life for a good while.
Hope this helps.

... We're expecting to have all our old content brought forward to the new forum, so we won't lose our legacy.
Thats great news. Can't wait. The site is such a great resource.

(Warning: This post is loooooooooooong. So I included a TL;DR at the end if you want the main bullet points.) Hey y'all. Infrequent contributor on the old forum, waiting for the new one. (And by "infrequent contributor" I mean "I made some TV Movie screens for people to use and probably did other things I can't remember off the top". I should probably remake those screens, to be honest.) You may also know me as "that user with the slack-jawed Mac logo avatar". You may also not know me at all, and that's fine. (I rarely posted there unless I felt I had something to contribute or ask.) At least now you get to see my face. And my denim blazer. And I'm very likely making it my new pfp on the new forum. Bit of an update for me here, a lot's happened since my silence: for one, I've gotten neck-deep into cosplay. Currently I'm saving up for a season 26 Seven and TVM Eight whilst I wait for stuff for my S16/S17 Four, S19/S20 Five, DWM Eight, and Nine. In terms of TARDIS building, I've actually considered the idea of a modular TARDIS console (one base/plinth, multiple columns and panel configs — gotta have someplace to do those cosplay pics). Heck I might even consider a modular police box. (Different sign boxes, and maybe even roofs — I mean, I am doing a Four cosplay from the tail-end of the Newbury era of 'boxes. Again, anything for those cosplay pics.) Can't guarantee it'll happen — sometimes I tend to get a bit... bipolar, for lack of a better term; plus I think I can safely say all that's a price tag comparable to college loans — but ya never know. I will say I definitely want to entertain the idea of a modular console, at the very least.... Also, I've been on Discord a lot more often. Been enjoying that for awhile. Also also, I've been starting to get back into making videos. As in, actual videos. Not just those TV movie screens I mentioned. However, it feels like this pandemic is draining me mentally and thus I haven't uploaded anything in over 3 months. (At the very least I have a therapist now to verbally vent out my frustrations with... albeit virtually. Again, thanks COVID!) But yeah, that's me and that's my spiel. Sorry about the great big wall of text. (Especially if you're on mobile. Whoops.) Still, can't wait for the new forum, where I hopefully never have to do something this long again outside of possibly a re-introduction! - Hunter (Puzzled) P.S. Y'all think I may need myself a blog/website, considering this long post? P.P.S. Anyone else think the console calculator should be on its own separate site? Just in case? Unless it already is and I'm just not aware? TL;DR: Still wanna make a console, preferably modular. Now cosplaying, so that console idea looms evermore. Been talking to people, and trying to make videos, but feeling depressed. Seeking therapy as a result. Also, COVID sucks and I want it to just end. (Maybe if I close my eyes and open 'em again.... Nope.)

Hi, I make my models in 1/6 scale and I plan to do one for each Doctor. So far I have completed Hartnall's and I am now working on one for Pertwee. The question is, do any of you know where I can obtain a suitable door handle for this? I can make it from metal, but it would be a pain in this scale. The first Doctor version didn't have a handle, so all I had to make was the face for the yale lock. Thanks Dave

Hi! Its been a while since I've visited. Think it was back in 2009 or 10. At the time I pretty much lost hope in building my Tardis. I finally talked my wife into it a few months ago so I returned to the site to get some ideas and was sad to see it was was gone. Thanks to Tardis Owners on Facebook I found out it was returning again and it made my day. It will probably be a few months before I finish but when I do Ill definitely upload the pictures. I actually recognize a few of the names here. One of Scarfwearer's builds was actually the first time I saw someone build their own Tardis.

Hi all, Russell Suthern here. Hope you are all well. I too was quite discombobulated to see TB vanish before my eyes, but I'm very pleased to hear that the info is backed up & I really appreciate the efforts of the mods in getting things back up & running again. I hope that everyone who has found themselves here from TB are keeping themselves well & that you are all finding the time to do some building so I'll have lots of yummy pictures to drool over when we all get back up & running again. I finished my K-9 & so am desperate to show everyone! Here's a couple of teaser pics to wet the appetite.... I'm having fun using him in my cosplay pics & can't wait to show you all the results! Anyhow guys, great to touch base with you all & can't wait for things to get back to normal- in more ways than one! Best regards, Russell Great job on the K9, it looks superb. Dave

osiran, I sent you a private message on this forum with some help for registering on tardisbuilders. I don't see your account in our member list on tardisbuilders, so I'll look out for your sign up there. If you had an account previously it must have differed in name and email address. We're getting new members there already, so I'm sure we can get it sorted. See you there!
