But while that's happening, we've reopened our old board so people have somewhere to gather. We'll use this for announcements and a place to chat until the new forum is up.
We're expecting to have all our old content brought forward to the new forum, so we won't lose our legacy.

I should mention that the old content from this site is not gone - merely hidden for now.
Also: we're not expecting to be able to transfer anything new you post here to the new forum, so this is purely a temporary measure.

That's good news about the content. I was in the middle of my 1/6 model build and all of my reference photos disappeared lol.

This is excellent news! Scarfwearer is there a tardisbuilders Twitter or similar for updates? I had no idea what happened to the old site or where everything had gone until I went investigating on Google and through various Doctor Who forums I normally try to avoid.

The only social media venue I know of is: www.facebook.com/groups/theTARDISownersclub/which is run, I think, by DoctorWho8 (Bill Rudloff), who's been on TardisBuilders a long time. Quite a few of our members are popping up there. Preparations are under way, but I think we're going to be at least a couple of weeks yet. It might be longer. I have a build diary under way too, so I'm also anxious to get back to it. Crispin

Here I am; Tuscany present! The disappearance of the site seemed like a nightmare and now, here it comes back: great job guys. After building the Tardis that can be dismantled and transported by car, I still have the idea of building another, hand-held by one person, I hope to start soon. Good job everyone.

We'll look forward to seeing your new Tardis. I'm hoping the tardisbuilders site will be back soon.
Cheers, Crispin

Brilliant! I was so worried that all the collected knowledge amassed on TARDIS builders was lost forever!

Hello! Been a bit lost without TB during lock down! Hi Kutan66 I've been feeling lost too - I think a lot of us are, especially in this strange time. Hopefully we'll all be back together on TB soon! TG

Hi everyone,
Am really glad tardis builders is in its way back, only joined in September last year but it’s a fantastic site full of amazing information and nice people, couldn’t believe it when I clicked on a few weeks ago and it had gone!!!!!, I’ve only been checking 2 or 3 times a day everyday since then..... Looking forward to it’s regeneration!
Moonbeam.

Hi all, Russell Suthern here. Hope you are all well. I too was quite discombobulated to see TB vanish before my eyes, but I'm very pleased to hear that the info is backed up & I really appreciate the efforts of the mods in getting things back up & running again. I hope that everyone who has found themselves here from TB are keeping themselves well & that you are all finding the time to do some building so I'll have lots of yummy pictures to drool over when we all get back up & running again. I finished my K-9 & so am desperate to show everyone! Here's a couple of teaser pics to wet the appetite.... I'm having fun using him in my cosplay pics & can't wait to show you all the results! Anyhow guys, great to touch base with you all & can't wait for things to get back to normal- in more ways than one! Best regards, Russell

So glad to hear this. Went looking to update my thread and... ! _Mike Lurking away on Tardis Rebuilders while watching amazing builds like MVerta’s gradually take form has been a daily pleasure of mine for... crikey, maybe over a decade. Can’t wait to see what Mike and all you other builders have been up to.

Glad we have someplace to post now, I haven't been able to show any of my lock down work.
Glad to see the group reconvening again.

I'm doing what I can to help be a refuge for everyone that has been displaced by TB's temporary situation. I'm hopeful many of you can join us on the Facebook group and rebuild the knowledge base there in tandem to the original TB form. If anyone that isn't on Facebook wants to help add stuff to our database, you can email me at DoctorWho8@aol.com so we can figure out things that way. I will make sure everything is credited as best as possible from original posters and sources. Bill "the Doctor" Rudloff

We've never met, but I can help you out with the database. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1FBVp4fkIWiSMZ8VXDUpcdGNd5tnCeG-U?usp=sharingContains everything I saved after a mild panic attack where it seemed we lost one of your PDFs to an Internet Archive purge. I'll send you an email, but I'm posting here for everyone else who isn't on Facebook.

Hello all, the Tardis Builder formly known as Elvis Gump here. I'd there's anything to be done I'm available to help. While I'm not much on database building, I can tell the bathroom door from the escape pod, can hold the flashlight if needed and won't put a foot or toe into the shadows. I feel mighty lost without the forum...

Russell - your K9 is looking fabulous! Spent the morning washing the TARDIS ready for a repaint. No major damage this year, thank goodness. Although, bit of a schoolgirl error growing my TARDIS so close to that tree, I'm sure it was further away five years ago...
